As we all know fear is a natural phenomenon. Fear prevents you from achieving, expressing, earning or conducting one's daily living with a free bent of mind. When fear reaches this stage, its called as "Phobia". Yes, I too had a phobia, and it is called as "Aqua-phobia". Aqua-phobia is nothing but fear of water. I am born with the phobia of water. This has taken me to the form of anxiety, panic attacks whenever I used see ponds, rivers or sea.
Due to this fear my day to day life has become highly complicated. Aqua-phobia really cannot be explained with a reason. I have tried all the possible ways to over come from this phobia but did not get success.
Time changed, when I strongly decided to get rid from this phobia,KYONKI DAR KE AAGE JEET HAI!!! The girl who never enjoyed water, who never played in rain, who never enjoyed sea shore, who never enjoyed water fall has decided to do something new with Mountain Dew, because I wanted to rise above fear! I thank my better half for helping me to over come from Aqua-phobia phobia.
In May 2014, My hubby planned for River Rafting at Rishikesh. When I heard RIVER Rafting fear was in my nerves. I cannot express my fear how I felt at that moment in words. I agreed as I decided to RISE ABOVE FEAR.
We packed our luggage and moved to Rishikesh. Rishikesh, wah what a place!!! scenic Himalayas, holy Ganga has made me her fan. But River rafting? heart came to my mouth!!! Thanks to my hubby's encouragement. Finally, I and my hubby stepped in to the river rafting boat with river rafting dress. Before giving a start to the adventure packed expedition in Rishikesh, rafting boat captain explained us about the basics of rafting technique to derive its pleasure to extreme.
Natural tides of Ganga rolling through rocky obstacles, made it an amazing experience. Melting of snow in Himalayan during the month of May, instantly rejuvenated river. In this river rafting at Rishikesh, there are 13 exciting river rapids namely -Sweet Sixteen (Grade 1), Hilton and Terminator (Grade 2), Three Blind Mice (Grade 3), Cross Fire (Grade 3) and Roller Coaster (Grade 4) and so on.
We success crossed all the grades with no fear. I even jumped in the river with my hubby's help, it was overwhelming feel. In the middle of the rafting there comes a Maggie Point, yes Maggie point, where I and my husband enjoyed Maggie and Mountain Dew.
After doing the river rafting I realized that adventure is something, which certainly belongs to you and you can cross all your fears to experience it.
